Title: Chants 2
Hermes - March 18, 2008 10:51 PM (GMT)
The lack of chants on March 15th has been agreed to be source of fail
So I reckon we could turn this fail into a EPIC win of mass proportions
Any suggestions for chants, songs or little dittys?
(soz for the unimaginative title)

ones that worked:
"ron is gone but the con lives on"
"religion is free, scientology isn't"
"lisa mcpherson" - "why are they dead" (or she's dead, I think having 'they' and therefore a constant reply each time works best) etc.
need to have phonetically spelled list of names for that, I think. also, no messing about with 'jesus', that was not good.
...
there may have been others that worked well, but I can't think of any at the moment.
ones that may need a bit of work:
the "are we for <this>"/"do we believe in <this>?"
"yes"
"is scientology for <this>"/"does scientology believe in <this>?"
"no"
if we do that, we need to have a load of them worked out for the master of ceremonies to remember of have written down.
I think that they should all be consistent, so either all anon ones are yes, and CoS no, or vice versa. that way, even if anon can't hear it, they know to just keep alternating between yes and no.
thinking of them off the top of your head isn't too good, also enunciation needs to be sorted so that people can actually understand what is being said.
...
I'm sure there was another one I was going to comment on, but my minds gone blank.

Sounds good... now will we remember it??? Someone suggested something good to "happy birthday" for 15/3... but I couldn't for the life of me remember it.
Anon76 - March 21, 2008 01:08 PM (GMT)
I'm going to print out all the suggested chants and bring a few copies on the day.
So we will have no more "If anyone has a good chant please come to the megaphone" moments.

You know the tune that goes with this one, I'm not sure what it's called but I think it's the basis for some football chants.
I think it will strike a chord with the public as most of them only know the Scilons from their "free stress test" recruiting drives.

I really liked: XENU XENU GIVE US A WAVE, XENU GIVE US A WAVE
Hermes - March 21, 2008 07:06 PM (GMT)
Our friends up North gave me this idea
When you walk out the org
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the masks.
At he end of the road
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' they may try to keep you inside
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.
(needs a bit of work though)

http://www.know-britain.com/songs I remixed/butchered a few
Keep Right on to the End of the Road Chorus:
Keep right on till you're out of the org,
Keep right on my friend,
Tho' the way be long, let your heart be strong,
Your family waits at the end.
Though you're tired and weary still journey on,
Realise you're not alone,
Where all the love you've been dreaming of
Will be there at the end of the road.
Pack up your TroublesLeave Scientology In The Org,
Walk out, that's the style.
L.Ron Hubbard lied to you,
Walk out, that's the style.
What's the use of worrying?
It was never worth the while, so
Leave Scientology In The Org,
Walk out, that's the style.
The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte CarloAs I walk along Ethel Street
With an independent air
You can hear me declare
"That's my family over there."
You can hold yours tight and kiss goodnight,
And know that it will be alright,
When you quit the Org in Birmingham.
All the Nice Girls Love a SailorAll the smart people leave scientology,
All the smart people walk far;
For there's something about scientology --
Well, we'll tell you what they are!
Cover ups and Harassment,
Disconnection and Deciept,
It Grabs your cash and washes you're brain,
And intimidates so you can't leave
Cult Ahoy! Cult Ahoy!
Early One MorningTo you the public,
this is a warning
about the dangers of
scientology:
they will deceive you,
they won't release you,
they'll drive you away from,
your family.
There's a starter, find them on the link at the top and have a read of the originals, you'll get the tunes.

One thing I feel I must add is something that's already been said in a number of places; the majority of the public are not aware of Xenu. Indeed, unless someone's an experienced Scilon with oodles of cash to chuck away, chances are they won't be either. We need to keep the memes to a minimum and focus on education of both members of the public and the Scilons, concentrating on disconnection. Okay, previous protests were for the lulz, and I'm not saying that they shouldn't be had, but the public won't take us seriously hearing cries of 'pigeon-quilt'!
At the tender stages of membership, Scilons believe that what they are doing is GOOD for them; hearing that their source of supposed happiness being called a 'cult' and ridiculed with reference to Xenu, their hearts will harden and they won't hear the true intended message of Reconnect; we are there to help them.
Good idea for the songs and great content, but getting everyone in time and in tone is gonna be hard. Something shorter with the same theme is needed.
Just my tuppence worth...

We love you (insert something we like) we do!

“I do hope my parents know I still love them, maybe some day I’ll be able to talk to them again.”
“If my Dad was declared a Suppressive Person, no one but the Ethics Officer is allowed to talk to him.”
“I was offered a choice a few days after being born. Be a Scientologist or be put up for adoption.”
“I hardly ever saw my Mom. She would show up every few months or so, and would only visit for just a few days.”
“There is nothing more hurtful than repeatedly giving something your all and being told it’s not good enough.”
“As soon as I became old enough to start critically evaluating the morals of Scientology,
I discovered Scientology was a scam.”
Attention members of the Media, members of the Public, and especially members of Scientology.
Here today, with Operation Reconnect, Anonymous has shifted its focus from the illegal actions of Scientology, to the cruel and family destroying ‘Disconnection’ policy.
Children, Mothers, Fathers; none are immune to this policy. Any who speak out against Scientology’s bait-and-switch, whether publicly or within Scientology are cast out and ex-communicated. Families are torn apart, Children are sent across the world.
Those who leave are harassed into mental instability. Those who stay may never speak to their loved ones again.
Operation Reconnect aims to bring those Families, those Loved Ones, those Children, Back. To let them know that it’s ok to want to talk to your Mother again. To let them know it’s ok to tell your Children you love them.
Our goal is to reunite those who are too afraid to speak.
So today, on the twelfth of April, worldwide, Anonymous will collectively attempt to bring together former members of Scientology to speak about their experiences, to speak about their disconnection, and to reunite family members.
“Hello?”
“Hey honey? I… I had to call.”
“Mom, is that you?”
“I love you so much, and I’m so sorry.”
Goddamn writing this choked me up...
I think I've listened to the Reconnect Video about 20 times to get it all right?
I forgot I could pause the video and just copy the text. =/
But yeah.
It's editted to a format moar appropriately to read on Saturday.

Thanks Nixon, I can't take all the credit though, I based it on one of the youtube vids from America.
I've printed off a double sided A4 sheet with some of the chants from this thread (20 copies).
I think I've selected most of the best ones, but didn't have room for them all so if you have a particular favourite and you want to be sure, write it down or print it out and bring it along.
Nixon - April 11, 2008 09:18 PM (GMT)
well if you've got that one you just put up on there i will gladly shout the accusations down the megaphone :D

Yep that one is on there.
with some traditional favourites and some new ones to test out.
