Title: Domain?

anonsrus - March 21, 2008 03:18 PM (GMT)
I would be willing to fork out the £5.90 for a domain.

What does anon think, birminghamanonymous.co.uk or brumanon.co.uk?

We could then have cool emails and such.

(would use a fake name for whois, like 'Anne Onymous' or something.

EDIT: For lazy people, you can now use brumanon.co.uk to reach these forums.

Aaronymous. :P

I could shell in abit,

Brumanon.co.uk.

anonsrus - March 21, 2008 03:25 PM (GMT)
I'll just see how much the email package is.

EDIT:
Anne Onymous
123 Fake Street
Fakeston
United Kingdom

lol.

Right, going to register.

Domain itself is £6.56 for two years.

If you want an email address without telling me yours, you might have to chip in a tad for it, I think they go at about £9.96 annually. I'll start a PayPal for if you want one.

However, if you're okay with giving me your email address, I can set up a forwarder for free.

(If you want one but can't pay / can't pay all of it, PM me and I'll sort something out)

Anyone wanting to help me out (I really has no munneyz at this minute, going into overdrawn for this before I get money), send a PM.

(whoa. this topic is full of me-spam.)

For someone who has hardly any idea about how this would work:

This e-mail thing - is it just registering a new e-mail address, or what?

Well there are two options.

You can pay £10 and have a whatever@brumanon.co.uk mailbox, so you can access webmail for it, or through a desktop email client.

OR

You can have a whatever@brumanon.co.uk forwarder that forwards to your existing email address. For free.

That's about it really.

EDIT: brumanon.co.uk should bring you to this forum within a day.

Out of curiousity, where do we check these new emails should we make them?

Because the Microsoft Email-ee program has never worked for me at all. =X

There's a pretty '123reg webmail' thing, or you could probably put all the relevant info into MS Outlook, or Thunderbird or whatever and it should work.

Edit: on second thoughts, no need to show the e-mail in case of Sci lurkers.

So you could set one up to forward to ****@****.com for free?

That I could.

Brumanon.co.uk now forwards here, but it's rudimentary at best.

You could register an anonymous paypal, then transfer some money in from your usual one, which is what I'm doing now.

Complex... Legal? Possible?

Don't they require a credit/debit card to attach to your account?

Nope, I've done it. You can send funds from your usual account and then use the paypal balance to pay. I've put my name as 'A Nonymous' and it's fine.

anonymitts - March 21, 2008 04:27 PM (GMT)
the domain name works! Taa anon!

anonsrus - March 21, 2008 04:34 PM (GMT)
Hopefully it should work a bit better in a while.

anon1812 - March 21, 2008 04:39 PM (GMT)
You're right...

(Check your PM's)

Lulz0matic - March 21, 2008 04:48 PM (GMT)

Yep, that's just me meddling to make it work better. Means the DNS changes have hit you before the rest of us.
