Title: Important Information OSA

Lolita Protestor - March 23, 2008 07:11 PM (GMT)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of_Special_Affairs

The OSA is the Office of Special Affairs and is the 'secret service' of Scientology.

You get photographed without your mask and you will most likely be in the OSA's files as a SP.

I advise all anon to read this BEFORE the next protest.

Lulz0matic - March 23, 2008 07:47 PM (GMT)
A tad late for some... =/

anonsrus - March 23, 2008 07:58 PM (GMT)
This is particularly important for new anon; stickied.

Better late than never...

A moments silence for our namefagged colleagues

anon101z - March 23, 2008 10:07 PM (GMT)
Remember though, that once they have your photo they then need to put a name to the photo, even a screen name is a start.

The worst thing is to get namefag'd, even though facefag'd is bad enough.

try to remember that we are Anonymous, we don't use names.

When at a protest, try not to use any of your friends names.

Falco - March 23, 2008 10:09 PM (GMT)
On that note, I'll answer to Falco at protests, and Falco only, even if any of you know of me by another name.

Lolita Protestor - March 23, 2008 10:12 PM (GMT)
At protests, i generally use 'on the day names' i.e: Megaphone anon, red haired anon, blazer anon, blue haired anon,

Its less perma than real names you can be traced to.

Lulz0matic - March 23, 2008 10:32 PM (GMT)
"Hey Anon" tends to work.

anon1812 - March 23, 2008 10:52 PM (GMT)

Annoam - March 23, 2008 11:10 PM (GMT)

(Forum Name, im not that stupid to give out my real name, I know a few annons i heard around me got caught out by there friends using there IRL name. If our bringing friends, brief them on not to use names)

Lulz0matic - March 23, 2008 11:13 PM (GMT)
I got named by a friend at the protest, because I was going to pop a balloon that got left at the church before throwing it away.

'[name] DON'T YOU DARE POP THAT BALLOON!'

Me - (To fellow Anon I was with at time,) Yeah, my names [name].

Not that they'll get very far on first name alone. =P

anon1812 - March 23, 2008 11:16 PM (GMT)
But... but... but... screen names???

What harm could it be?!?!?!

Real names, ok, fair enough, but 1812 has sweet f*** all to do with me.

I was called "Short Anon" for the entire day, by adult Anons ._.
I'll just answer to Anty, and only Anty for the day.

anonymitts - March 24, 2008 01:05 AM (GMT)
Anon76 and myself called each other Jacques at OP: Party Hard.

In the French Revolution the revolutionaries called each other Jacques to keep their real names secret. This was made public in Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities.

In the Iron Council, a book by China Mieville, the revolutionaries call themselves Jack. A nice nod there by China.

So, if in doubt, you should just answer to Jaques. :)

Or Geoff. Whichever one gives more lulz!

:tom:

anonsrus - March 24, 2008 01:19 AM (GMT)
Then call the female anons Jill, then find a hill..

Lolita Protestor - March 24, 2008 02:54 PM (GMT)

Can anyone think of a scenario when just pointing or poking the person in question wouldn't suffice?

Lolita Protestor - March 25, 2008 02:49 PM (GMT)
Epic.

Just poke me and i'll turn around.

jester - March 25, 2008 08:41 PM (GMT)
No reason, as a total noob I wanted to know what the significance was.

It comes from the Habbo Raids.

The raiders wore red ties. Thats about it.

But that seems so far ago now, back when our brothers were protesting for another reason.

It was originally, the red tie, black jacket, black trouser, black shoes. That was the standard Habbo Uniform.

But now things have changed, and this branch of anonymous sometimes decides to honour the other branch of anonymous a salute by wearing it.

Though our opinions divide us sometimes, we are all of the same tree.
