Title: I declare EPIC WIN!

Lulz0matic - March 31, 2008 04:21 PM (GMT)
Here's a break down of what happened.

1 - Lulz arrives in West Brom, cannot find Anon. Decides to check out the exhibit. Tells one worried shopper it was all a cult trying to push their ideals when asked.
2 - Lurking moar. Had a smoke. Found Hermes! Got peacefully ejected from the Queens Square.
3 - Decided to buy card from WHSmiths.
4 - On return from Smiths to the chosen spot, found Mr.Muffin.
5 - Leaflet and sign galore. Several inquisitive people.
6 - Moar and moar. Phonecall made to the Express and Star, possible news coverage for Saturday; reporters should be present at One.
7 - Moar leaflets. SCIFAGS ARRIVE WITH CAMERAS! =O They film our signs/us.
8 - Mr. Chris W. (That is his name, right? We were unsure.) from Birmingham is seen lurking with Scifags around our vicinity. Confirmed by other members of the public who were working (selling Gas/Electric, I believe,) to have spread false information regarding the three of us. 'They're all potheads, they're just here to cause a Rucus.'
9 - Damage control. Lulz. No one believes Scifag liez.
10 - Moar leaflets given, links given, and the likes.
11 - The three of us visited the Police Station before we finished up. No complaints were made, and the Officer who had spoken to us prior was fairly happy with how we conducted the protest. They're aware and prepared, AND expecting MOAR of us on Saturday. That's cool with them, based on our behavior today.
12 - Mr. Muffin definately got the bus home safe, I suspect Hermes got to the Metro too.
13 - I am home, safe, and unfollowed.
14 - ???
15 - PROFIT!

Hints and Tips -
- Bring an Umbrella. Pigeon Shit very likely where we were stood.
- MASKS or at the very least Sunglasses. Scifags were present with Video cameras right in our faces. God knows who else around was one of them.
- Not everyone will have passed or pay attention the exhibit. Explain it to them if they haven't.
- Camera/Video camera to document? We didn't have one.

Signs that worked -

Scudmuffin's laminated sign he posted a picture of.
My 'Lisa McPhearson - A Victim of the CCHR - Ask us' sign
My 'Would you pay an excess of 150,000 to be denied Psychiatric aid? The CCHR would like you to' sign
Hermes' 'Ask us why Elli Parkson is Dead' sign.

All connections with the CCHR/Scientology were explained, but I personally felt that if people saw CCHR in place of Scientology, people who had seen the exhibit would be more likely to come check it out. It worked.

Hermes' 'CCHR = CoS' sign was made of fail. ;)

anonymitts - March 31, 2008 04:26 PM (GMT)
Well done, Lulz!

Lolita Protestor - March 31, 2008 04:28 PM (GMT)
Well done.

Lulz0matic - March 31, 2008 04:29 PM (GMT)
Anything to halp.

Hermes - March 31, 2008 04:34 PM (GMT)
Fail:
Chris Wrapson, cameraman and the other guy interrupting my bloody lunch
My first sign "CCHR = CoS"
Pigeon shit...
Win:
Everything else

Foamanon - March 31, 2008 04:35 PM (GMT)
It sounds awesome, and I wish I had found out sooner and I could have come too.

Lulz0matic - March 31, 2008 04:35 PM (GMT)
How dare they interupt your steakbake.

Hermes - March 31, 2008 04:40 PM (GMT)
The steakbake of justice... all well, roll on Saturday

Lolita Protestor - March 31, 2008 04:50 PM (GMT)
Wait a god-damned second.

They interrupted, a greggs steak bake?

The Church Of Scientology, interrupted, your steak bake??

Lulz0matic - March 31, 2008 04:52 PM (GMT)
Yes, they did.

Hermes - March 31, 2008 04:53 PM (GMT)
They've hit a new low today

Yes, they did.

OH MY GOD.

THATS IT!

NO MERCY!

A Gregg's Steak Bake is sacred.

And should be enjoyed peacefully whilst enjoying the delicate layers of pastry and delicious steak and gravy within.

Not with a pasty faced agent smith breathing down your neck trying to scrape of your thetans!

anonsrus - March 31, 2008 05:03 PM (GMT)
Will most likely be there on Saturday. Awesome job for today, peoples.

Anon76 - March 31, 2008 05:24 PM (GMT)
Sounds like it went really well,

Were the public receptive to what you had to say and were they generally supportive?

Did any of you apart from Mr Wrapson's, OSA buddy, have a camera?

(if not maybe we could ask them nicely to post some of their pictures here ;) ah come on we know you're watching this board Mr Wrapson)

I really hope I'm able to come on Saturday, Still not sure whether I'll be able to make it though.

anon1812 - March 31, 2008 05:40 PM (GMT)

anonuk323 - March 31, 2008 06:20 PM (GMT)

I'm sorry I couldn't get there, always saturday!

What leaflets did you use? I'm going to be acquiring leaflets sometime this week, would be useful to get some moar. :)

Aye it would especially as leaflets have a strange tendency to disappear

Lulz0matic - March 31, 2008 06:47 PM (GMT)
I found another six in my pocket when I got home...

Were those the ones that you gave me? PORTAL POCKETS! We must exploit them.

EPIC Moments:

Muslim lady: You look like me.
Me: *Grins, hands over leaflet*

Hermes masterminded flanking tactic.

High fives after tactic.

Bombing out the leaflets during the end of the day traffic.

Scientist man, mine of information.

PC: Fair, just, wanted to know what we had to say and let us get on.

Our photo shoot for Amature Terrorist Hunks, thanks sci's :D

Grinning at the camera.

Camera Man Grinning.

2IC Sci smiling.

Chief Sci looking rather annoyed.

Walking to the meet.

Double sided signs.

Cigs.

Lulz.

Express and Star.

People taking note and saying hi.

Hermes action shot.

Portal Pockets for the win.

I'm making a note here...
Portal pockets: HUGE SUCCESS

Falco - March 31, 2008 07:51 PM (GMT)
Might I suggest one of you that attended posts a report here? If we can get the word out you were a success, you may encourage others to do the same when the exhibition reaches them.

I feel exactly the same. I thought it was miles off.

Anon76 - March 31, 2008 09:43 PM (GMT)
I have a suggestion.

If a member of the public seems interested and supportive of our cause, we should suggest that they go to the customer service desk in the shopping centre and complain that they find the exhibition offensive.

It's unlikely to stop the current exhibition but will make them think twice before allowing any future CCHR exhibitions.

PROTIP: Mask up before you get off your transport. That way scilons near meeting point or spais (I may be being paranoid) won't see your face.

Anonymusical - April 1, 2008 04:59 AM (GMT)

Apologies for not being able to make yesterday btw, I was on my way out when the Police called regarding an incident which happened the weekend, and that ended up taking a couple of hours to get sorted out. It should all be getting finalised today anyway with a bit of luck.

Well done anyway, seems like you had a good time, and reached a fair few people's attention's from what I've read of this.

AnonP1ZZ4 - April 1, 2008 10:55 AM (GMT)

Better than that, wear concealing clothes over your protest kit. makes changing easier.

Great stuff. See you guys saturday (tomorrow).
