Title: April 5 Writeup

Okay, here's the skinny.

Arrived about 10:50, Hermes was there already. We stood about for a while, Rickrolled the Bus Station, and by 11:30, we had ScudMuffin and GorillaWarfare, and moved out.

Stuff started pretty normal, we broke out the signs, handed out flyers. We rickrolled, some Npower dude got angry, told us to pipe down. Anonymusical turned up at some point. The day pretty much carried on like that until we did a last Rickroll at 3:20, took a group photo, tried to get to the exhibit, failed, and then left.

Highlights and oddities during the day:

1. We got blessed by a pastor
2. No interruptions to Greggs stuff.
3. Environmental Agency confused us with their yellow van.
4. I think there was a Scifag, UPDATE: When asked why our pics were being taken, scifag responded that they were being taken to work with the police against us "terrorists". He wasn't OT.
5. CHRIS WRAPSON. I saw him, but generally we missed him.

Someone can probably figure it out better, and write better than myself, but that's basically an outline for the day.

Pictures are here.

Getting blessed was epic win. LOL.

Well done. See you on Saturday!

Flyers handed out during day 1 & 2: Approx 460 (total printed for week 500)
Signs: Day 1 - 3, Day 2 - 5. All got attention.

We were indeed blessed by the pastor who gave us the strength to continue, the other half of the strength was provided by Greggs.

I attracted many nattering peeps, most wanted more info though there was a guy on our side who had a fair amount of info on groups who were way ahead of Scientology in the world power scale.

We'll get rid of them next :)

It was indeed a epic day - and no interuption of sausage roll break.

A local church was promoting a event that day aswell and most of their people were intrested and indeed blessed our protest, several people came asking questions about why and how and etc etc.

1 great woman in her 50's/60's (i cant tell ages these days) and her freind came up and asked why was we protesting., told her it was 'against the exhibit inside the shopping centre by CCHR, for being anti-human rights and also not saying their true identity is as a arm of Church of Scientology.'

She went 'oh my, i didnt know that cult was here already, i saw about them in the newspaper' talked about new centre, and why we are against, she then said 'well when i meet my freinds for a cuppa ill bring this up', the freind said 'oooh yes, we cant be having this' - now we are getting the elder generation lol, maybe we should have a over 50's arm with tea and buscuits and 'in my day we didnt have such creepy people as scientologiests, oh my shoop the whoop i say to them all - this reminds me, i need to get some cat food for my cat Mudkip'

i hope you guys kick ass at the next Brum protest, im supposed to be going to the London one again but if anything happens ill be at the 'Brumtest' with cake*.

VIVA LA BRUM!

*cake may be a lie, if cake is a lie you are entitled to send your greivence letter to '1 Lron hubbard street, Los angeles, USA' and say that birmingham should have moar cake.

Free Tea to befriend the aged???

Good Google Anonymusical I think you're onto something!!!

Next question: How do we boil water with no power source?

I'd suggest making a campfire in newstreet, but the police may not be too keen on it... camp stove?

anonsrus - April 7, 2008 09:45 AM (GMT)
Hand crank generator + kettle.

ScudMuffin - April 7, 2008 01:49 PM (GMT)
