Title: YFTC Cards

Yes, the YouFoundTheCard cards.
For those of you that haven't seen the site:
You Found The CardQuite simply, viral marketing/advertising, whatever you want to call it, at it's best.
So, who already knows about these little gems?
Who's been planting them, and where have you been leaving them?
If you know about them and haven't been - why not? This is one of the quickest and easiest ways, in my opinion, to spread the word.
And for those of you just hearing about them now, might I suggest you go out, make some of these cards, and start leaving the for people to "find".

So for i've been going through the cash option. As only one of my friends know that im a part of Anonymous i get a good many chances to pull some money out of my wallet and say:
"Guys! I've got this note with a web address on it. What do you think i should do?"
"Go to it man! You might win a prize"
"... heh... coool!"
:D
My uncle owns a printing shop, so i plan on getting a crap loads of business cards printed off.

Excellent.
TINFOIL HAT: Be wary of leaving your fingerprints all of them.
Anyways, at College in Maths we use graph calculators, and whenever you switch them off and back on, whatever you did previously is stored. So I've just been typing it up onto all of the calculators.

Hahah that's great!
Yeah i have been thinking about prints.. but surely they can't grab my prints too... right?
Falco - March 5, 2008 07:22 PM (GMT)
Do you have any idea just how many different sets of prints there would be on money? Nothing to worry about there.
Annoam - March 5, 2008 07:35 PM (GMT)
You could use Video Game aswell, Counter Strike Source offers an ability to use User made sprays in game perhaps create a simple one and spray it over your current game server.

I was thinking more along the lines of cards.
TheDudeWhoWearsTheNirvanaShirt - March 5, 2008 08:06 PM (GMT)
Wouldn't they already need to have your prints in a database somehwere for comparison? So it doesn't really matter.

Ah, my mistake. however, as pointed out, I haven't had my fingerprints taken at all ,so there will be no point of reference for them to ID me.
Hit as many places as possible over a 2mile journey earlier, i'm going to need to print more cards soon.
Soul Intruder - March 5, 2008 08:42 PM (GMT)
Ah true, i've never had my prints taken... well i had this one time when i was in year 6 of school. The officer did that for all of the class... damn that was sneaky of them!
But unless they have acess to a police database, as you said, then we should be ok. Jesus, i hope they don't have that kinda power!
TheDudeWhoWearsTheNirvanaShirt - March 5, 2008 08:57 PM (GMT)
I doubt it, Police are neutral, unless they have some corrupt cop guy on the inside, but it's highly unlikely.

So where are you guys getting your cards from?

Making mine myself.
Picked up some Cardstock from Partners, about £7 for 100 sheets.
Printing them out about 8 to a sheet.
It can be a bit irritating having to cut them all out individually though.
Designs, I took an old 10/2 design. I either found it on the YFTC site or in one of the posts on Enturb, and adapted it slightly so that the date now reads 15/3 as opposed to 10/2

Thanks for the info much appreciated, printers on the blink so looks like I'm handwriting these things.
Lulz0matic - March 5, 2008 11:05 PM (GMT)
Though,
I am so writing the URL on my only tenner.
Money circulates fairly quickly.
And it can't harm, really.
I'll have spent it by tomorrow.

Staples office store...
Self inking make it yourself rubber stamp, complete with little letters..
£13.99
I know it's expensive but it saves writing out by hand...
It also saves having to get someone to make the stamp for you.
ANNNND.. you can change the little letter to whatever you want.
+
Packet of day-glo post -it notes...

I found that some computers have access to most of the printers in the school, So I sent 5 copies of a page full of YouFoundTheCard.Com to each printer.
:D Yay advertising.

I've been trying not to leave them within sight of another. If there's only one in sight, people are more likely to think it's something "special", and therefore have alook. If I saw several in one place, i'd just dismiss it as advertising (which it is) and ignore them.
Managed to "hide" 120 of these today - win.

Fantastically at the time, I was using the ILS account (It's for the more... stupid people to get extra learning) I needed to print off a shit load of stuff and it has unlimited printing credits.
