Title: Why the conclusion can only be WIN!
Description: My 2 cents worth.

For the third time in as many months, we shut down the CoS for a whole day. They didn't recruit anyone on New Street on Saturday.
Several thousand leaflets went out to the public, meaning those people will be more wary of the CoS and are less likely to be recruited in future.
If each of those people discusses it with one friend, the win is doubled.
If each of those people discusses it with two friends, the win is tripled.
Despite the heavy showers we got about 70 to 80 people there and we didn't pack up and go home when the weather became a bit crappy.
We got an article published in the Birmingham Mail, this will be read by thousands of people, both in print and online. We got an article in indymedia which again will help spread the message.
We had fun, we sang, we danced, and we ate caek.
Of course there were a few things which weren't so brilliant, but instead of beating ourselves up over a few very minor mistakes, we should be focusing on our EPIC WIN, and planning to make May 10th even more epic.

This is what we need to focus on guys.
As stated - not one person was recruited into the Org all day - on a Saturday as well ,which could well be the most successful day they have usually.
The amount of people taking leaflets was great, and there is no doubt a large percentage of them will at least mention seeing the protests to someone in passing. Awareness just got doubled.
Okay, the numbers were down a bit. So what? Large numbers =/= success. It is the message we put across that matters. With the weather the way it was, were we really expecting such a large tunrout as the previous time? I know I wasn't.
(Yeah, this is essentially just the same points again).

If you stood on New Street and looked down towards the Bullring you would have seen people, lots of people, thousands of people.
The Sceinos looking on the same scene would see wallets and purses, lots of wallets and purses, thousands and thousands of puonds worth of wallets and purses.
The CoS weren't able to exploit that on the busiest day of the week, this will have hurt them, and hurt them hard.
Knowing that every person taking a leaflet or seeing a sign will be less likely to fall victim to their recruiting in future will hurt them and hurt them hard. This is how we will eventually win, by drying up their main income stream.

This is from the heart now, guise, so no pisstaking, yeah? ;)
I am in my early 30's, and all through my life, I have tried in my own way to do the right thing. I was raised strictly, had and still have respect for authority. I have been married, held down good hard working jobs, tried hard for the best of myself and who I've been with at the time, and just have generally been a good, honest person.
Yeah, I had some wild times in my youth, partied hard, crashed and burned a few times, but hey, that's part of growing up, yeah? I've never been in trouble with the law and am proud of that.
A couple of months ago, I clicked 'stumble' on my browser and came across a just a motivational poster of a load of people in masks with the caption 'Fuck - The internet is here!' underneath. 'What the hell is this about?', I wondered. I found the StumbleUpon comments on the page and saw the word 'Anonymous'.
Youtube led to xenu.net which led to xenu.tv and so on and so forth. I looked at all the information available and my spine shivered; I welled up when I saw what had happened to people as a result of Scientology. I watched documentaries on the founding of Scientology and the immoral practices and policies that it implements and became fascinated with the movement that Anonymous initiated following the CO$'s attempt to litigate against the showing of that Tom Cruise vid.
I have been on /b/ before but only in passing, and I never claim to be an oldfag, but the goals of Anonymous have touched me in a way that I have never felt before. 'Can I be part of this? Can I help try to change things?' I wondered...
Well, I armed myself with knowledge that would help me educate others, I bought my V mask, fuck, I even read the comic (realising at the same time (with a shiver) how the symbolism of this story relates to Anon) and I plucked up the courage to get on the train, don my mask and attend my first protest EVER. AND IT WAS EPIC.
I handed out loads of flyers, had lulz, caek, and managed to educate a few people and express our aims to them who well received what I had to say. I am proud to be who I am, I am fiercely proud to be a part of what has the potential to make history, and most importantly, I am proud to be Anon.
This goes to ALL Anon - thank you all for helping me to be someone with a passion, to enrich myself with a motivation and moral aim and to believe in an ideal. You have given me a purpose.
That is why April 12th was a win for me.

Even if there is just one member of the public that have been touched (like I have) by this whole thing - Epic Win.
I'm content that I've done my part (as will continue to do) and I remain confident that the word will spread. My thanks to all; I am here, I am with you, we are Anonymous.

It was my first protest as well, and it felt good that i was able to stand up and make my voice herd on somtihng that i bleave in.
and as people have said befor if we can make more people aware of what is haing and what the Co$ is about then that can only be good. Its going to get more and more dificalt for them to recrute in Birmingham the more we portest, and that can only be a good thing.
