Title: White rose..
Description: A request..

anon.deplume - March 8, 2008 03:41 AM (GMT)
Just passing on a message..
For the March 15th protest; pass on the word to all anons Via Partyvan:

Please wear a white rose on March 15th if you can. Symbolic of our solidarity and peaceful methods, and as a mark of respect for Shawn Lonsdale. Also a historical reference to the German non-violent resistance group.
---End Msg---

After the raids on 3/15.
If we go with the white rose idea. Those more financially stable of us can send a dozen white roses to various orgs.

I for one think it's a great idea...

Not impossible... But Not cheap either...

What are the chances someone will have read this and will be kicking about Ethel Street on the day flogging white Roses at an extortionate price?

:money:

It's possible they might..

However, if anyone spots them cheaper anywhere, be sure to let us all know.

With the internet everything is cheap!

Use white and green paper, green for the stem... Although, you could use a pipe cleaner...

See, now I was thinking about something along those lines.

Do you guys think it would be too difficult to organise a minute of silence for Shawn Lonsdale? I mean, i think the majority of people going to the protest are members of this forum, or at least read it so it might not be too hard to spread the word if we decided on a definite time.

I think it would be a nice mark of respect for Shawn and/or other victims of Scientology, and it would probably really creep the scientologists out if we all suddenly just fell silent. On the other hand, the rest of the city would still be making a lot of noise so maybe they wouldn't notice.

Anyway, in regards to the current topic, I'd be up for the white rose thing.

AnonP1ZZ4 - March 8, 2008 04:19 PM (GMT)
Yeah. The public might not get what it's about, so maybe we can also use it to inform people in more depth about the atrocious actions of the Co$.

Falco - March 8, 2008 07:02 PM (GMT)
Minutes silence? Easy.
On the day, we spread word that at such and such a time, we're all going to be silent for a minute out of respect for all the victims of Scientology.

anon1812 - March 8, 2008 07:14 PM (GMT)
If we could get this to work, and get everyone to stand still, heads down, it'll probably attract even more attention.

Falco - March 8, 2008 07:33 PM (GMT)
Oh, and about the rose:

If possible, do it, the original Enturb topic seems rather supportive of it, so if we can get it to be a worldwide thing, all the better.

J.B. - March 8, 2008 07:50 PM (GMT)
I think a suitable time for the minutes silence could be around say 1 or 2 o'clock? Since that's around halfway through the protest and more people will be around. About spreading the word... It probably wouldnt be very efficient to tell every single person at the protest verbally, if you know what I mean... maybe a sign would work? It could just say something like:

MINUTE OF SILENCE
FOR
SHAWN LONSDALE
(and/or victim(s) of scientology)

<TIME X>

Bit more on topic: Someone had a really good idea on enturb, but it might be very costly. They suggested we could hand out white roses to passers-by and wrap the flyers around them kinda like how single roses are wrapped in a kind of 'cone' of paper or wrapping if you know what I'm talking about. I didn't explain that very well, but I thought it was a good idea, if a bit expensive...

Could do it with those folded paper roses

Soul Intruder - March 8, 2008 11:30 PM (GMT)
Yeah im 100% up for this, it's the least we could do for someone who wasn't afraid to speak out against the $cilos.

Minutes silence would be cool, for lack of a better word.

I don't know; it's one thing to know about some of the victims of Scientology,

But to see Lisa's dead body... And Joseph's boiled body...

All to Clint Mansell's Sumer Overture/Requiem for a Dream....

It just gets a little more real. =/
