Title: Balloon Release

anon101z - March 9, 2008 03:02 PM (GMT)
hi Fellow Anons,

I've had an idea from a past on Enturb about balloons...

Someone said, why not have balloons? and I think it would be a great idea if we could organise a world wide balloon release.

We could release balloons with slogans on them like "this represents a disconnected family" or "youfoundthecard.com" or "this represent just one crime that $scientology has committed" any ideas?

Whose paying for these balloons. =P

you can pick up a pack of balloons for like under £5, and you might get 20 or so in a pack.

so if there are 60 people attending than thas like 25p each... you couldn't make caek for that :)

We'd need a hell of a lot of helium and maybe permission from some air traffic control authority (not saying its a bad idea though)

Balloons are cheap enough, but a cylinder of helium is not.

It's not a bad idea, but we already have the white rose thing, cake, and a possible minutes silence for this protest, we don't want too many things happening in one protest...

You mentioned something about the balloons representing disconnected families, and next month is focused on disconnection due to the launch of operation reconnect, so maybe we could use this idea for the April protest?

Slight derail: If you haven't seen this already you might wanna bookmark this or something for next month...

^ What JB said. Remember KISS.

Yeah i think we may be going a bit too fast here. I don't think we'll need the ballons, we have the roses and such. The ideas are nice, but if everyone isn't able to do it then it's gonna look a tad silly if just one or two people release some ballons.

Again, as J.B. said. I think we have enough for this protest. Ans also as stated, next month would probably be the ideal month for it if we're going to do it.

A mass balloon release with YFTC On it somewhere?

I reckon that's a really feckin good idea.. People love that kind of stuff..
The whole "How far will the balloon travel" competitions and stuff... they really do travel..

I'm with everyone else though... wait until April..
:)

Also: In before obvious scieno spin - "Anon are crazey litterbugs who ar dastroying are planet with there baloons!!!"

Yeah... since when has a little thing like THE TRUTH ever stopped them from putting their own spin on things?

;)

All so check with the Air Authoirty on this, it may not look it but these balloons can get pretty high. We need to confirm if permission is needed first?
