Any one hered about the legal smoking age being risen yet again to 21?
Googled it cant find anyting!

In poundland today as normal buying ciggeret papers and filters to feed my filthy habbit! only to be aked if i was 21 (im not 21 but im legal to smoke!)

I was refused to purchase papers and filters because as the woman said "you have to be 21 to smoke now!"
So bawwing my wayout the shop i decided to googel it as I hadent heared anything abot the smokign age going up
So Ive Trouled thrugh the net cant find anything about it!

Letter of complaint Sent:
To whom it may concern
I was in the ************ Poundland today Attempting to purchace 3 items of Tobbaconalia. being *** years of age this should not be a problame for me especialy as I have valid ID. As I got to the check out I was asked by the woman if i was 21 in wich I replied "No im ***********" only to be told she could not sell me the " Pack of 10 bullbrand Rolling Papers, A Pack of three boxes ( bullbrand) Medium sized filters And a bag of 180 Menthol filters( Bull brand)"

If there is a 21 Policy in Poundland Why so? The Legal age of smoking in England is 18 ( recently changed from 16) If there is no 21 policy I am Very upset that I was not perrntitled to purchase said items. I would appreciate a Reply to this letter of complaint As im unhappy with the service I recieved as a paying and loyal coustomer.

For the purposes of preserving my view on smoking without forcing it down the throats of all the smokers here, I think I'll stay very far away from this topic.

Asda has recently decided to not sell alcohol to anyone looking under the age of 25, unless they have I.D to prove they are over 18.

Poundland may have a similar policy, but perhaps the woman had it confused?

Smoking age raised to 18? That's a good thing. :) Also explains the increase in the little sods asking adults to buy them some fags.

Its still 18, poundland woman probabl;y confused or a sepearate policy in poundland shops.
Also, thered have been as much if not more of a keruffle as there was when it went up to 18 if it had gone to 21.
Your newsagent will still sell youtobacco provided you have i.d saying you're 18:)

Check forspelling mistakes in letter, btw
