Title: Visibility of the BrumAnon website

ANonStick - September 17, 2008 09:47 PM (GMT)
I'd like to suggest that we increase the prominence of the BrumAnon website address on Anon flyers, signs, letters and emails.

The idea in general is not to promote it as such, but to make it the last or tertiary link on any appropriate material, for example:

www.whyweprotest.net
www.xenu.net
www.brumanon.co.uk

This is based on the totally unscientific and limited study I did last Saturday - it was on my sign and flyers - whereby a few people seemed interested in it. Also, or as an alternative, how could we go about making BrumAnon easier to find on the web?

Obviously, all of this assumes that increasing the website's visibility is desirable. Any thoughts?

I'm all for that. I try to make sure the leaflets I get printed each month have a link to Brumanon, if only for the times when people ask "Do you have a website?" I see no harm in shameless self promotion for that matter.

Yeah, I updated 2 or 3 that are up there now but it was a bit too late for the protest.

Yup, numbers are dwindling a little in recent months, we could do with recruiting more people.

I agree it's not exactly hard to find with the right keywords, although using "scientology" as well mucks it up. If possible can we change whatever content's used to provide the Google synopsis? At the moment it just has the following above the URL:

Sorry, you don"t appear to have frame support. Go here instead - Birmingham Anonymous.

The last googlebot crawl of the brumanon website was 19th August, so it should be updated in the near future.
