Title: Win
Description: What worked well?

Anon76 - March 16, 2008 12:32 PM (GMT)
A thread to post what we thought worked well from this time and should do again next time.

Foamanon - March 16, 2008 12:42 PM (GMT)
The speeches seemed to get everyones attention, people actually stopped and listened.

PennonII - March 16, 2008 12:42 PM (GMT)
Stickers were win, so was the Epic rickroll, and the Pigeon, Cult.

Falco - March 16, 2008 12:45 PM (GMT)
The mass flierings seemed to get people's attention - I had a couple of people come back up to me asking for any more information, or just generally stopping to chat about the whole thing.

Oh, and apparently, we should be able to get the address of the planned Moseley one in the planning office, if anyone knows where that is, and would like to go and have a look/

Foamanon - March 16, 2008 12:48 PM (GMT)
Yeah, stickers were definitely win.

Soul Intruder - March 16, 2008 12:49 PM (GMT)
A lot of us seemed to know our stuff, i saw some people offering flyers.. not trying to shove them in their hands. Which was good. I liked Brumicans waving to the kids, it's good to show people that we are real people under the masks.

I had some kids asking about the mask and if i was allowed to take it off. I checked around and lifted it up a little so they could see me. I think that getting people to relax around us is a major bonus.

Dude with the red hair who did a lot of megaphone work towards the end (For me anyway, i had to leave at 3) was good.

I liked the fact that as soon as i arrived other Anons were nice and chatty, which was good as i was a tad nervous about not 'knowing' anyone.

Conga line was a major win. Speach and silence was also good, apart from the de-masking.

anon1812 - March 16, 2008 01:23 PM (GMT)
Speech and caek were win, as was Conga line, and Pidgeon Quilt.

What if: we bring some kind of table-like structure next time, uponwhich we can put caek? And speakers?

*EDIT*

BritFagATDI - March 16, 2008 01:34 PM (GMT)
Brumican was good during the speech. He was loud, and clear. And that worked.

Alot of the other time it was difficult to understand what was being said.

Red Haired guy was good on it too.

anon101z - March 16, 2008 01:53 PM (GMT)
Speeches and silence epic win for me.... not going to mention the unmasking thing very one agrees on epic fail.

people did listen and where intrested.

if we could find some uk families that have been disconnected, we could make speaches for them next time.

Yes, this i like.

I think that Red haired anon was a great speaker. We need to appoint at least 3 main speakers.

Also, hi vis clown mask guy, you did a great job with flyers and information as well as organizing the march.

III - March 16, 2008 03:49 PM (GMT)
when the majority of the group were outside the 'church' making noise and such, that got a lot of attention from people passing on new st.

I think that we could have taken advantage of that a bit more.
at one point there was only one guy there giving out leaflets as the others had gone down to join the big group.

pigeon -> cult was great.

releasing spiderman was awesome, if only for the lulz rather than any advantage.

dave - March 16, 2008 05:27 PM (GMT)
Flyers, signs, stickers, caek, anons knowing information straight off hand were definitely win.

Monster fucking EPIC win, was jester masked anonymous.
Council representatives came up to me saying we couldn't hand out leaflets without a permit, and each of us having an ID from the council allowing us to.

Jester man was close by, and in a hi-viz marshall thingybob and I had a word with him. He spoke to them and found out we are allowed to as its a religious/political protest, so leaflets could continue to be handed out.

Epic epic win and mucho cake for jester.

algy - March 16, 2008 05:29 PM (GMT)

Soul Intruder - March 16, 2008 07:47 PM (GMT)

Ahh, Street Wardens. Bless them. They have bugger all powers, but think they can go around cautioning/arresting etc. They are really Park Keepers without any grass to mow. Actually, Parkies can at least chuck you out of the park LOL.

And as for Community Support Officers...don't get me started on how flaming useless and cheap an invention that lot are.

Annoam - March 16, 2008 08:23 PM (GMT)
CSO's do a very good job, though you may not believe me. there just limited in there powers.

BTW, can some annon confirm i exist. Its just every vid and pic im in all i get is a flash of my Coat and im gone. Im like a freaking ghost, just popping up every so often
