Don't know how many of you have seen Valkyrie (if any) but liking military history I put my feelings towards Cruise the Cult man to one side and nicked off to watch the film having read up on some of the history of Valkyrie beforehand.

The cinema was only about half full but have to say that apart from imagining the word 'Cult' written across Cruise's forehead I really got into the film as indeed did most who were watching. Bill Nighy was brilliant as was Eddie Izzard and Carice van Houten (as Von Stauffenbergs missus) elicited the odd 'hubba hubba' from the audience. One of Thomas Mapother IV's better efforts (he was actually very good), a shame much of his takings could be heading towards $cientology.

Not a blockbuster but some serious acting. Give the film 8/10 unlike Travolta's Battlefield Earth which was a complete flunk.
