| Post-Game report OSA faggotry spooked the original venue (phone calls of people threatening to come down wearing masks to mess things up), so we switched to the hotel round the corner. OSA not present. Ursula Caberta unable to attend, so transcripts of her speeches are read by a volunteer. Speakers detailing political issues re: cults in the UK (tl;dr - Government doesn't care, too many 'experts' are apologists) Dr John Butler talks about the nature of cultic brainwashing. Audience fascinated. Belgium anti-cult group reports Doing It Right. Legal cases continuing carefully, to avoid CoS getting off on a technicality. During lunch, Duncan MacNair (most prominent political scifag in UK) phones up, trying to get into the event. Is duly told to GTFO. Political chap offers to be a launching pad for harpoons, apologises for City of London Police being faggots John Duignan speaks on Infiltration. Buy His Book! (seriously. Do it, faggots) Anonymous speaks. History of Internet vs Scientology detailed. Jokes about lulzy DM shoops met with approval by audience (average age ~50). tldr - CoS hates truth and ridicule. Anon delivers both in spades. Aftermath of event delivers useful contacts. Plans are set in motion. Effectiveness of Anon ops is repeatedly emphasised Post-game beers with Duignan and friends (including another ex-Sea Org) lead to a sTroll-past of LRH House (1st Edition $ci books = Proof of Squirreling?) and TCR org. More beer is had, schemes are schemed, Duignan is declared Evil Genius. All in all, Huge Success. |

| Excellent conference, with presentations from Tom Sackville (former Government Whip, Department of Health Minister and Home Office Minister), a CIAOSN/ Belgian Department of Justice analyst, a medical psychologist, a Deputy of the Common Council for the Corporation of the City of London, an ex Sea Org member, a Family Survival Trust Trustee/ Chief Executive, and two Anons. Ursula Caberta was too ill to make it, and pulled out, though the conference was here idea. :-( Her speeches were read on her behalf anyway. The conference actually moved location at short notice, due to an 'anonymous' call to warn the club beforehand that a 'masked group' was going in to cause 'mayhem' at the conference. There was also a phone call and quick surpise appearance by Lord Duncan McNair (he wasn't allowed to attend, apparently) One thread that was common across a few presentations was the need for co-ordinated action at the European level, rather than national. The Anon presentation was off the cuff, but went down very well. I admit I was touched by the love and support for Chanology, from family members of Scientologists, to the foreign Old Guard critic who was simply grateful to have been shown how to use "Google Wordpress", to the ex Sea Org member who spoke of his fear of isolation upon leaving the cult, until Anon showed up... Another Sea Org member (on lines for twenty years) spoke afterward of not knowing whether he would leave or stay in CoS until he saw Anon's February 10th 2008 protest, and the Org staff's "lack of confront" - he left saying that Anon didn't know how many people we'd helped. :) |
