Since the pirate costumes were pretty awesome last year, and got a lot of attention, methinks we should all try and come a little piratey for May. I got bored and here's some awesome places for cheap stuff.

Lisa's Fancy Dress in the Birmingham Rag Market has loads of really nice stuff and it's bloody inexpensive. They have eyepatches for 99p and loads of plastic swords, hats and hooks, along with full costumes for rent and sale. To get find it, when looking at the rag market from The Bullring, go through the right hand door (the café) and you'll see it straight ahead.

Masquerade on Hagley Road is another affordable fancy dress shop, and have a stupidly big range. Most of their adult costumes cost about £20 to rent and they have a ton of accessories too. The people in there are absolutely lovely and offer loads of advice. You can find them at 554-556 Hagley Road West, in Oldbury.

And for the ladies who want to be sexy wenches, srsly, corsets ftw. I got mine from Airy Fairy (which Lass reckomended to me last year) which is located on the top floor (not the café) in the Oasis Market. Depending on what kind of quality you want, they range from about £15 to £100+. I got a lovely red and black one for £40. Again, the lady who works there is brill and will help you work out your size, show you how to take it on and off and how to look after it. And of course they also have a large range of hats and other piratey shizz for pretty cheap.

I was planning on raiding poundland or making my own stuff. But this sounds like a better idea =]
