Title: Party Van

anonymitts - March 17, 2008 02:23 PM (GMT)
We need a Party Van to pop along. Alas, it's a pedestrianised zone so getting a real /b/ yellow van to drive past is verging on the impossible.

So, I thought about making a sign in the shape of the Party Van. One side would be the van, the other could be a message for the day. I could then...ahem...drive it past Wesley Snipes (oh I hope he returns, I was rather taken by him) every so often. It's a bit daft, but lulz worthy.

Whatcha think, Anon?

Its an idea, but i know that Birmingham in that area is greatly pedestrianized.

Plus, would that be covered by our permit?

Anonagram - March 17, 2008 02:28 PM (GMT)
that could either be epic win or epic fail, there is no real in between :/

anon1812 - March 17, 2008 02:36 PM (GMT)
Epic fail /b/ike?

You can Cycle in the area ;)

When I say "drive" I mean walk past carrying the sign ;)

It could be epic fail. It may be epic win. Just an idea at the mo.

I do like the idea. But do you mean the yellow van with a /b/ on?

Yep - just a cardboard cutout of it.

Yep - just a cardboard cutout of it.

I like the idea of that but minus the /b/. That may lead us back to 4chan in some way and give people the wrong idea.

/b/ is full of nay sayers right now.

anonymitts - March 17, 2008 03:14 PM (GMT)
/b/ is the cancer that is killing /b/ at the mo. But, let's face it, /b/ is and always has been, full of 12 year olds whose mummys wouldn't let them go out and protest anyway.

I'll have to have a think. Like I said, just an idea.

Otherwise, a 'bostin' idea.

it's odd how many yellow vans are appearing in the photos of these protests around the world.

not all of them were there on purpose driven by anons either.

I think it'd be awesome to have such a van, but i'm not sure about a cutout of one.
if every protest was trying as hard as they could to get a van there, then yes.
if there were loads of anon there, then this might be a nice surprise for them.

as the situation stands now, I think it'd be kind of pointless (except for a few lulz when it's first seen).

Annoam - March 17, 2008 04:38 PM (GMT)
I have no objection so long as you dont supply sound effects

mikeiona - March 17, 2008 04:51 PM (GMT)
Just to clarify, isn't Party Van - FBI and Yellow Van - /b/ van

Dig?

anonymitts - March 17, 2008 05:01 PM (GMT)
Probably - lol - time to check the damn memes. Getting...too...old...for...this lol

puts on old person voice..."I'm 31, you know!" "Ooh the kids of today"
"Things move too fast for me these days" "Does that come on VHS?"
"Mudkip?"

III - March 17, 2008 05:12 PM (GMT)
all the various vans tend to merge together, really.

next they'll have a yellow van halen

The Hardest Van in existance

Lulz0matic - March 17, 2008 09:58 PM (GMT)
I have/will have a white van by the time April rolls round.

But it'll have my Dad's companies logos lazered onto the side; bad advertisement is bad. =(

Despite the fact it'd be impossible for me to drive it up to the Co$, it would be cool if I could drop off Anon reinforcements. =P

Shouting: GO! GO! GO! as we all jump out like with...parachutes...

Actually, no...bad...bad idea.

having something to drop people off ready-masked would be good.

but* vans have number plates, and your van will have identifying info on it.

so if you use it to drop people off, do it far from the 'church' (anons have legs (most of them), they can walk a bit), and only a few times.
don't pick people up in it, a group of anons leaving are more likely to be followed just in case they're going to something like that, or they all unmask at some point.

number plates are not as easy to trace here than in america (I think), but it's still doable, especially for an entity with enough money as the CoS.

however I'm assuming you're not thinking of going anywhere near the 'church' with your dads logos on the sides, so most of this may have been redundant.

I like big buts and I cannot lie...

A card board Party van would be funky to see... Do it... definitely, but don't put /b/ on the side...

III - March 17, 2008 10:18 PM (GMT)
one thing we have to do if someone makes one of these:

when the street cleaner is approaching, some anons run up and stick the cutout on the side. we film it as it passes, and then anons run and get it back.

may need some advance planning to work out how to stick it on though.

May also need the police to not see that as getting arrested sucks.

III - March 17, 2008 10:22 PM (GMT)
would that be illegal?

I suppose we'd get in trouble definitely, and if we asked beforehand they'd say no.

maybe get the driver of the thing in on it?

nah, it's not gonna happen is it :(

If the logos aren't up,

then I might consider it...

The ironic thing about this all, is I am actually a delivery man.

Or, will be, as soon as the paper work pans through.

This anon really does deliver.

I has an idea. You know those rings with paper stretched across them that you get teams running through and breaking the paper, then pouring out of it? Anon should have it's own one, with a yellow van painted on it: it can explode outwards with a conga line of Anon!

I'm schemin'. Would other anons be up for this? It shouldn't be too hard to bring about. I can bring the frame in pieces and stretch out the paper/assemble the whole thing while there. If we got video footage of it it'd make a nice piece to get the protest started off?
