Title: Anon Tour '10?
Falco - December 17, 2009 10:42 PM (GMT)
A few Londonfags are planning on hitting up several cities around the UK this year, joining their local raids, so long as they don't clash with their own. I'd be up for joining them in this, and possibly scheduling our raids around the dates on the tour, if possible.
Anyone else up for this/opinions?
Edit: First date and location is likely Manchester on the 9th of Jan.

Our dates clashed for this month, so obviously this didn't happen for us.
However, we now have more advance warning:
-Mancs are planning to raid London Feb 20th - I know we provisionally set this as our date for the raid, avoiding Valentine's weekend, so chances are we'll miss this.
- Both Londoners and Mancs plan to come raid with us here in March.

Hey, just wondering, what are the chances we could set up for a minibus?
Afterall, going to London or Manc generally costs about 30-40 quid or whatever, per person.
It'd be easier and cheaper to rent a minibus, ne?
willonomous - January 10, 2010 09:25 PM (GMT)
A minibus was mooted a while ago and didnt seem financially viable when you kicked all the costs together.
However, to London Marleybone from moor street it can cost around £20ish pp. about half of the cost from new street.

Megabus could be useful - £3 each way, Birmingham-London, dependant on the time of travel. Obviously, this limits us in arriving/departing from the raids, and we'd have to allow for cross city travel from the Coach Station too. I'm sure Manc wouldn't be too much different from this, even if everyone going there has already happened now.
ScudMuffin - January 11, 2010 05:08 PM (GMT)
We'd have to leave early to get there, Megabus isn't that fast. It is doable though.
Virion - January 11, 2010 08:12 PM (GMT)
NOT THE MEGA BUS
NatEx do "funfasres" which are cheap, and it takes less time and is with a decent company on a decent bus...
:]

March leg of the tour is coming here, some planning will be on WWP, I'll copy any relevant bits back and forth.
Falco - February 7, 2010 10:47 PM (GMT)
I'm off to Manc this weekend (13th Feb), not the Tour as such, just touring. Anyone else is welcome to join me, obviously.
Falco - February 14, 2010 05:26 PM (GMT)
Manchester are awesome. That is all.

Hey Falco. PM me - I'll join you for Mancs.
SuitGuy - March 1, 2010 12:16 PM (GMT)
Lets make this March a great raid. I have some interesting stuff up my sleeve. If anyone needs props, wigs, etc, plz PM me. I'm arriving at 10:30am and going straight thru to the end of the day (or night hehe). Lets do this.

London are pretty cool guys. They know how to throw a post-game, too.
In other news, a Euro MegaRaid has been announced, and will obviously form part of the tour. Thread and poll to decide date can be found below, please be sure to read the first few pages before casting your vote, as reasons for various dates have been posted - see which you agree with, weigh in, whichever, just have a look first.
http://forums.whyweprotest.net/262-europe/...planning-63552/Personally, I'm in favour of the first weekend in June, and I'm sure many of you have already heard about that date being a possible - cheaper flights for Euro anons flying in, won't be stupidly hot (Britain? Hot? lolwut), and the most people appear able to make it, so far. Plus, early enough in the month that everyone can have their own local raids that month too, without being rushed.

Oh, yeah. Dublin was this weekend. It was awesome, but expensive.

Chiltern Railways sometimes are cheap, depending on the time you go. ^^
