Title: Just quickly signed up to ask..

BarryM - January 6, 2010 05:26 PM (GMT)
How many people attend the monthly protests nowadays?

Also, feel free to delete my account after the question has been answered and I have replied to show my acknowledgement (this account will just be a waste or something otherwise)

thanks :)

I haven't attended many in recent months but 5 - 10 is probably accurate.

Despite what you said, feel free to ask further questions or start a discussion if you wish.

I think 5-10 is about right on average.
Hey BarryM, come and join us and make it 6-11!

Again, I've not made the last couple myself, but the last few I was at averaged about ten, if I remember correctly.

You know, it is so tempting to go along; it's short hours and early in the morning.. but I'd feel so awkward just turning up and nobody recognising me (I know we all wear masks but you know) and I'll be stood out from our little -crowd-
That's obviously selfish of me and the least of our worries because we should be supporting the cause, but it's hard to just let insecurities go, you know?

Plus, the vendetta masks fall right off my face, I should adjust mine some how aha. I would be happy to attend the next protest.

I turned up alone to my first protest last year. Anons are a friendly bunch though and I had a great time. We have cake too.

Personally, I found that aspect appealing, all those months ago - turning up, knowing no-one, masked: In a way, it helps those with little confidence usually be outspoken/foolish for the day, with no-one knowing it's them. There's very little awkwardness, and people are soon integrated, for want of a better word.

Pinch the elastic together at the back, that should tighten it up.
