Okay, firstly, could I ask people (if they have accounts) to cross post suggestions/ideas/whatever they make in this thread to the topic on WWP as well, for this month? It'll allow London and Manc to easily see what we're planning, and weigh in with their opinions too. Link HERE.

So far, there's a pledge of people coming from London, Manchester and Warrington, discussion of whether to stay overnight or not from people, and a list of hotels provided in response to this:
QUOTE
We had a brief think on IRC about this, seen below. I've removed the names of the individual hotels for posting here publicly - if you'd like to know more about one of them, PM me, I'll give you the full name and any available sites for them.
CODE
<1> F and E are the cheapest and best.
<1> £28 for F (3 ppl) and I think £40 for E; also 3 ppl
<1> The F is a bit of a trek, boardsley circus? Better to catch the 17 bus to the McDonalds and walk there. The E is near the gay village; Tescos > walk up road and cross over.
<2> A bit of a trek being how long to walk it, and how easy to find?
<1> Easy to find, definately.
<1> But to walk, you're better off at E, IMO.
<3> E is easy to walk to
<1> Otherwise you face a 30minute(?) walk from the Bullring to the F or a £6-9 cab ride
<3> found it first time having never been to brummy land before
<2> What's the general place like? Decent?
<1> Yes.
<1> It has 2 sockets as well, in both hotels - IIRC (incase they bring electronics, such as a lap/netbook)
<1> Double bed and top single bed (bunk)
<1> Hence, 3 ppl a room.
<2> Is that the same for both?
<1> E is the one with the toilet and shower in the room. F you have to use showers/poor quality toilets in the hallway
<1> The shower in F is 'kay, buy damn, the toilets? I use the disabled ones, 'cus they're cleaner than any other -.-"
<1> Protip: Don't get stuck in the disabled toilets;-;
<2> You're a wealth of information.
<1> The beds in both hotels fit 3-4 teens/possibly adults.
<1> (double, obv) the top bunk actually fits 2-3 teens XD
<1> Which is surprising, for a single bed.
<4> BR £45 a room a night (2 people)
<4> plus
<1> The F hotel is easy to smoke in :)
<4> right in centre of town
<2>Travelodge in the center, family room for £66.76, 3 people, so £22ish each. Probably a bit much.
I've since been told that E is £30 per room booked in advance.

Last post in there is a mention of the current post-game plan (which I believe 66 was enquiring about)
QUOTE
We're currently looking into the post-game venue - if we can get what we're hoping for (which we think it entirely possible), it'll be much the same as the Mancfags post-raid pub of February, with a slight variation for the first few hours. And also open until about 3am.

So, with all that said and done, usual planning thread, copy/paste relevant posts to/from WWP where possible please.

Lets see, I can come in early and raid, nip off to have a pint and watch the match. Come back, party and get the last bus home.

Fooking hot!

I'll be there hopefully, should be cool, haven't met the mancfags or the londonfags yet.
Shall hopefully have that head I promised for anonaversary, but don't hold your breath. I am afterall, a very lazy anon.
Maybe we could ask that as many people as possible wear suits and/or v masks. I mean, how cool would that look? A massive group of anons all in uniform outside the org happy.gif

Suits suits suits suits suits
A legion of suits and V masks will be much much better than a random group of people doing random things. There's something truly beautiful about that kind of unity.

A couple of people are/were kicking around the idea on IRC of crashing at a hotel in Birmingham for the night too - just posting here so people are aware.

Also, cross-posting this related post:
QUOTE (Heretic;1185357)

Hey, thought I'd throw this out there but can I ask that people with vidcams bring them?
I've noticed a severe lack of vids of raids.
Also bring flag and as many signs as possible.
And some form of music playing device, hopefully charged this time happy.gif
Maybe have a raid of poundland for hats and streamers, and caek of course.
Sorry if that seemed bossy, but I think they're reasonable demands happy.gif

QUOTE (willonomous @ Mar 16 2010, 06:56 PM)
why dont we just tell them 11.30 so it'll look like we're all eager and keen to go?

The fact that they've all booked train tickets by now, to get in in time to be there for 11?

It's not hard to do - people used to turn up from 10.30 onwards, months back, so it can be done.

Just don't be lazy.
