As some of us found out there is a supposed address in mosely which is the scifags want to change into a CoS building.

I would be willing to pop over that way one weekend/after work and see what is going on at and around the address, hand out fliers, knock on doors raise awareness and survey opinions

( You can tell I've done this shit before can't you :/ )

So mah point is this, clearly I would not be doing it alone ( might have 2 others i can conscript into doing this with me ) I am generally looking for comments, Yays or No Wais really.

Cheers

EDIT: My compatriots have confirmed, this would be a suit/mask affair, oh and we don't live within a 20 mile radius of Brum, so we are not too concerned about CoS following us, not the way I drive anyway lulz.

I believe I could lend some time...

Assuming I can spare it.

However, knocking on people's doors, masked, may not give us the friendliest responses.

I completely agree, but I think in this case it would be worth the potential risk of getting a negative reaction.

It also re-inforces Anon in peoples minds, if we deal with them in a professional, calm and friendly manner then any subvertive counterattacks by CoS would be minimised.

Additional thought, in the other thread there is mention of psychiatric and other sort of medical buildings nearby, we should also raise awareness of this to them directly. So they know what they are dealing with, it might actually raise support much quicker.

Good idea, but.. the masked house to house part is gonna be an epic fail with police involved. Really, if someone knocked on my door, masked and said "Can i have a minute of your time to..."

I would throw my cat at them! (I've trained her well, she's a killer.) Suits are a win, masks no.. perhaps substitute masks for shades?

I think that might be the better idea, swapping masks for shades would lose effect.

I also quite like the idea of a seen but not heard approach.

If I saw someone walking up my path wearing a mask, I would be very scared. If an elderly person saw someone walking up their path in a mask they would call 999 first and ask questions later.

I think that wearing masks while approaching peoples houses is an epic fail.

As the scilons do not have a presence in the area yet, shades, and a hat to disguise your hair would be fine. by the time you have leafleted the nearby area you could be in and out within an hour, not enough time for them to send anyone with a camera even if they do get wind of it.

Arrange the date, time and meeting place by PM's once there are enough volunteers and you should be safe.

I can see alot of merit in your thoughts and I do agree, but I still think, soley on the effects value alone that masks is the only way we can go.

Because when it comes down to it in the end, we want people to recognise us as Anonymous rather than some dudes, in shades, that happened to come by and put shit in my mail box.

I still think masks are a bad idea for this particular operation but, if you are committed to the idea of masks, I'd suggest:

1: non threatening masks, maybe half masks
2; hold the bunch of leaflets in your hand so it's clear you are just delivering leaflets

I agree with the leaflets in the hands, it should allow anyone looking out of the window to instantly determine the intentions of the 'dodgy masked person' on their garden.

However, I think, where possible, masks should be worn - the V masks in particular seem to have become somewhat of a trademark for Anonymous. If not V, then a suit/smart attire with a half mask would be my recommendation.

I wouldn't say commited, as I am more than happy for any of my ideas to be shot down all I'm saying is at this time the V mask is the icon of Anon in the media

I don't think that Mr & Mrs Average of Moseley are yet aware of our media presence and would be more likely to associate masked people with bank robbers than with anonymous.

I generally throw that stuff away. Its just junk mail to me, and I would think a lot of people think so too.

Write to the local councillor (Martin Mullaney) explaining the CoS views on psychiatry (can someone confirm if uffculme clinic is a psychotherapy clinic?), their views on children (that by the age of 6 they are "responsible" enough because of the millions of years old thetans in them) and how they treat grieving elderly people (Harriet Baker in the US, on theunfunnytruth video on ymntd.com)

Hit the high street with flyers etc. We'd have to cull the memes here to get as many locals on side as possible. Basically galvanise people against the CoS in such a way that if they did get the place they wouldnt get anyone from the local area (plus we could protest outside the place as well)

Moseley has a high street now!? tongue.gif

Right-o that sounds more feasible, I will need to consult my friends on this one, see if they are willing to do Q&A sort of crap, I am considering popping down to Moseley and confirm if that building matches the building on the letterhead.
